Bleeding

Bleeding from minor cuts, wounds.
Wash wound well, with water to which you have added a few drops of liquid soap, or with a mild normal salt solution: 1 level teaspoon salt to 1 cup (8 ounces) water. (If you add too much salt, it will sting). You may sprinkle on powdered cayenne to stop bleeding. A cool poultice of comfrey or plantain may be applied. Cover afflicted area with sterile, or as clean as possible, cloth or dressing and apply light pressure. Make a tea of comfrey, plantain, or cayenne and drink right away. If bleeding is excessive or if there are any signs of complications, be sure to get to a doctor right away.
