Who would have ever guessed it.
• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 3/4 cup rice flour
• 1/2 cup soy milk powder
• 1/2 cup wheat germ flakes
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup honey
• 1/4 cup oil
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 cup water
• 1 to 1 1/2 cups dried pineapple pieces
• 1 cup walnuts or pecan pieces
• butter
Combine flour, milk powder, wheat germ flakes, baking powder, and salt with 1/3 cup honey, oil, water, and vanilla. Dot frying pan with butter and sprinkle on nuts, pineapple pieces, and remaining honey to taste. Pour on batter, cover pan, and place in low-burning coals. Bake approximately 30 minutes. Baking can also be done in a well-sealed pan on the grate over a slow fire.
