In winter, when using more energy to keep warm and to keep your endurance level up, you may want to expand your breakfast with one of the following:
a chunk of cheese while you wait for the cereal to cook
nut or see butters on your cereal on on bread
almond of cashew meal added to cereal
soy, cashew, or almond milk
extra amounts of dried fruits and nuts in cereal
addition of soy grits or millet before cooking
wheat germ and nutritional yeast added after cooking
