This cereal has the unique flavor of raw whole grains. The texture is crunchy and chewy.
• 1/4 cup rolled oats
• 1/4 cup millet
• 1/4 cup soy milk powder
• 1/4 cup almonds or filberts, chopped large
• 2 tablespoons rolled wheat
• 2 tablespoons toasted buckwheat groats
• small handful raisins, chopped dates, and sunflower seeds
• pinch salt
• 1 cup water
• date sugar (optional)
Combine all dry ingredients with water in pan the night before in camp. Next morning may be eaten cold or warmed up, stirring often. You might like to sprinkle date sugar on top.
