Serves two
Very good with broken bits of raw cheddar cheese dropped in while hot, just before serving.
• 1/2 cup dehydrated corn
• 1/4 cup toasted buckwheat groats
• 1/4 cup tomato powder
• 2 tablespoons celery flakes
• 1 teaspoon oregano
• 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
• 1 teaspoon onion flakes
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon garlic granules
• 1 teaspoon oil
• 4 cups water
All dry ingredients may be packed together at home. In camp, pour into cold water and oil and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, just until groats are soft.
